Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: In an exhibition cricket match played at Jammu University ground, Media-XI team defeated Rahul Bhat-XI by a margin of 78 runs. After winning the toss, Media-XI team, led by skipper-Mir Imran, added huge184 runs' target on the scoreboard in 20 overs. Amit Kumar of Media-XI scored highest 86 runs of 52 balls with two sixes and 11 fours. Sunil Bali was the second highest scorer who hit 24 runs in 17 balls with one six and two fours. From Bowling side, Tej took highest three wickets in his 2 overs' spell giving 25 runs. Vasu, Ashwinder Koul and Anmol took one wicket each. Chasing the target, entire team of Rahul Bhat-XI was declared all-out at 107 runs in 20 overs. From Rahul Bhat-XI, Rakesh hit highest 45 runs in 54 balls with one six and six fours. D N Bhat was the second highest scorer with his 20 runs' inning in 25 balls hitting three fours. For Media-XI, Sunil Bali took two wickets in 1 over giving 2 runs. Yash Khajuria, Jagdeep Singh, Vivek Suri and Rahul took one wicket each. The match was organised by Aryan Ramesh, Secretary-All India Kashmir Samaj (AIKS). Bollywood actor Rahul Bhat and Moti Koul-Vice President BJP and former president AIKS was the guest of the honour. He also lauded the media for highlighting the social evils and ill-effects of drugs abuse. Ashok Kumar and Madan Kumar were the umpires while, Vinod Kumar and Altaf Janjua was the scorer. Amit Kumar of Media-XI was adjudged as the man of the match for his 86 runs. |
