Police picks of three employees of PDD for questioning

Banihal,Nov 28 : After DDC Ramban ordered magisterial probe and inquiry in a death case of causal worker of power development department (PDD) in Darshipora village of Banihal ,police yesterday picked three employees of PDD for primary investigation and are questioning him about the negligence.
Mohammad Saleem a resident of village Chareel of Banihal who was working a causal worker was electrocuted on 24 of November and died on spot when he was performing his duties on a electric pole. He received electric shock when he was working on electric pole during the scheduled powers cut curtailment. The villagers and locals of the adjoining area staged a protest and blocked the national highway more than five hours. They were demanding the action against the persons who were involved in this negligence.
After the written assurance of DDC Ramban Mohammad Ajaz Asad and from the Police the villagers at that time lift their protest on the assurance of administration and police.
In this connection police on Sunday picked up three employees of PDD department Banihal posted at Grid / receiving station Tether Banihal for questioning including line man Darshipora Mohammad Ramzan Bhat s/o Ab Aziz Bhat R/o Lamber, Peer Irshad Ahmed s/o Nizam-u- din R/o Tether and GH Mohammad Mir s/o Sunny ullah Mir R/o Zenhal Banihal.
When contacted SHO Banihal Nazir Ahmed Dar said that they have initially picked up three employees of the PDD and questioning them . They are meter reader, line man and a JE of the department. He said that the investigation is going on.
It is pertinent to mention that DDC Ramban in his written order on November 24 ordered a Magisterial probe into the incident and asked to submit the report within a week time.
