Gujjar boy from remote village of Kishtwar tops 8th class result

Kishtwar, Nov 28: Hailing from the upper reaches of remote Patnazi village of Kishtwar district, a Gujjar boy who used to trek to reach his school topped 8th Class (Annual) Examination by scoring 246 marks out of 250 marks- the result of which was declared today by the Principal District Institute Elementary Training (DIET).
Giving surprise to everyone, a Gujjar boy namely Shabir Ahmed Gujjar son of Mohammad Ismail of High School Patnazi has topped in 8th Class (annual) Examination by scoring 246 marks out of 250 marks. As per the details available with "Early Times" Shabir Ahmed Gujjar will share first position with Arushi Thakur d/o Ramesh Kumar of SDM Public School Kishtwar and Tehreema Fatima Daughter of Akther Hussain Giri of UPS Poochal.
While divulging the details Principal DIET Kishtwar Javed Ahmed Kichloo said that 83 students share the first 20 positions added that out of 3832 students, 3773 students appeared in the examination in which 96.47% students were declared as pass.
Mr Kichloo said that the final result of two schools one each from Marwah and Warwan Education Zones is still awaited and said that in next day or two the result of these two schools will be made public.
The DIET Principal further said that it is due to hard work of I/C MSE DIET Kishtwar Irshad Ahmed Mintoo, the result was declared within 10 days time thus bringing end to the curiosity and excitement of the students who were eagerly awaiting for the result.
He said that in case any student had any concern, he/she can apply for the same in the office of DIET Kishtwar.
While taking to "Early Times", many students who passed in flying colors attributed their success to parents, teachers, family members and their siblings. They desired hope for securing more marks in future examinations of 10th and 12th class.
