In 'Twittering' haste, Omar stumbles yet again | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 30: The presumed intelligence inference of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah suggesting that the three terrorists who had carried out attack at Dayalachak managed to cross the border because of the alleged slackness of the Border Security Force has been exposed by the former IGP Farooq Khan, who had recently joined BJP. It's not for the first time that CM had tweeted about the incident without verifying the facts. Twitter rather than governance happy Omar had in the past also sent the administration in tizzy with his illogical and unsubstantiated tweets. Last year he tweeted that he should ask the administration to check and punish the Minister who had slapped a police official. The entire administration and media was in tizzy. But, latter it was found out that CM had commented on an old news video of a TV news Channel. The CM didn't care to check the fact and jumped the gun. Before that he asked the administration to check and take action about the news report that judge had stopped an ambulance which resulted in the alleged death of a patient. Police started taking action against the judge, though it was stopped after the intervention of the High Court. Though, the judge had clarified that he had personally checked the ambulance and found that there was not patient in it, rather the driver was blazing siren to get past the traffic in violation of the rules. The CM even then only relied on the news report, which itself was unconfirmed. In the recent terror attack, IGP, who had a vast experience in handling terrorism, also suggested that there is also a possibility that these terrorists might have come to the State from the Nepal and staying dormant for some time before carrying out the attack. He also said there is also possibility that there might be some connection with the terrorist attack here and the arrest of terrorists in Gorakhpur. In the previous terrorist attack at Hiranagar and Samba, it has also not yet been conclusively proved that terrorists had crossed the international border. The BSF had clearly stated that the terrorists didn't cross the border. However, the incident has exposed how much seriously the incident was being tracked by the Chief Minister and how much credible intelligence information he carries. |
