Monga endorses Farooq's statement on accession, pandit exodus | | | Javaid Naikoo
Srinagar, Apr 30: Completely endorsing the statement of National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) vice President, Ghulam Nabi Monga today said that accession of Kashmir with India is only based on secularism and whatever Farooq Abdullah said about Kashmir issue and exodus of Kashmiri pandits is based on facts. Talking to early times, JKPCC vice President while endorsing the hard hitting statement of Farooq Abdullah said that there is no doubt and nothing wrong in the statement of Farooq Abdullah which he gave about accession and added that the reasons of exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir are known to one and all. "We have acceded to India only because of the secular approach of Nehru and rest of his family and not with the communal hatred of Modi. I must tell you that it was then also proved that we were right to accede with India, but now when communalism is grooming in India, it will directly affect Kashmir," he said. He said that Narendra Modi does not know anything about the History of Kashmir and people like him are completely illiterate when it comes to Kashmir issue and added that 'had Narendra Modi bee well aware of Kashmir history he would not have talked about the abrogation of Article 370'. Monga said that everybody knows what happened and what were the reasons under which Kashmiri pandits left Kashmir and alleged that the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Jagmohan is solely responsible for the exodus. "If People like Modi come in power then obviously communal hatred will grow in India, I don't know exactly under which circumstances and what was in his mind when Farooq Sahab gave this statement but I believe that there is nothing wrong in whatever he said about accession with India and exodus of Kashmiri pundits," he said. It is pertinent to mention that on 27 of April, National Conference Patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah while addressing a poll rally in Khanyar area of central Kashmir's Parliamentary constituency said that communalism is not acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and added that people of Kashmir will not remain with India if the country becomes communal. "Pray to God to save us from communal forces so that we can move forward. India cannot become communal. If it becomes communal, then Kashmir will not remain with India. Communalism is not acceptable to Kashmiris."Farooq Abdullah said Earlier also Farooq Abdullah had to face sharp criticism for from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) party members for his remark that those who vote for Modi should 'drown' in the sea and also threatened that Kashmir will not remain with India if the country becomes communal. |
