POJK Refugees criticise GOI for returning rehabilitation package | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 17: Numbers of POJK 1947 Refugees organizations on Monday under banner of MJR 47 condemned the action of Government of India (GOI) for returning of proposed rehabilitation package recommended by State government. Addressing the media persons, Om Prakash Khajuria said all Displaced Persons (DP)'s families feel highly dejected on this action on this Government of India. "It took 67 years long period to convince State government to formulate package and forward to government of India. But the Union government has returned the package of Rs 9096 crores linking it with west akistani refugees. While, MJR's secretary Dr. Padam Raina said the present government of India led by BJP had assured DPs to settle their claims once State government recommend the package. He alleged that the PM Narinder Modi also assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir, he would remove the tag of refugees once for all if they come in the power. But they have done nothing. "All the political parties have failed to mitigate our grievance and suffering pending for the last 67 years and have ignored the POJK 1947, refugees. We have decided to contest state assembly elections and teach the lesson to BJP, particularly and other political parties who playing dirty political game with POJK refugees," he alleged. |
