BLSKS celebrates Shri Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti

Jammu, Feb 3: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Unison cultural troupe, Sangam Tru Art and ESRM celebrated 638th Guru Ravi Dass's Jayanti and presented Musical Play 'Kathoti Main Ganga' at open Air theatre, Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. On the occasion, the Musical play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and Music was composed by Renowned Singer Raju Bajgal.
The Program was inaugurated by VK Magotra, Former Regioonal Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Dr Tara Singh Charak , former Deputy Director, Health Department, Romesh Chander , Event Director were the guest of Honor. The programe was commenced with song 'Tum Chandan Main Pani", "Hari Migi Paduka Aduka Nbanai Liyo Oh" sung by the renowned artistes Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal Zulekha Farid, MC Kotwal, Hem Raj, K K Joshi.
The musical play was highly appreciated by the audience. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective and Highlighted History of Guru Ravi Dass and his teachings.
Earlier, welcome address of ML Dogra, highlighted the teaching of Guru Ravi Dass and Dr.BR Ambedkar understood and pushed forward the ideas of Ravi Dass. The Chapter on fundamentals rights in the Indian Constitution bears the impact of Ravi Das's teaching. Guru Ravi Dass spread the message of love for all devotion to loard universal brotherhood honest earning for livelihood and to discard all that does not help in god realization.
Among Singers, Musician and Actors who performed were Usha Handoo, KK Joshi, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, Kamli Devi, Hem Raj, Shivani Disgotra, Raju Bajgal, Sunil Kumar, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma, Dhruv Pandit, Bodh Raj, Santosh Bandryal, Pooja Loach, Cha Samarth Gupta, Lalita Bakaya, Avtar Kour and others.
