65 yrs old married woman murdered 3/23/2015 10:19:26 PM Early Times Report udhampur, Mar 23: A 65-year-old woman was allegedly murdered today a local youth in Chopra Shop locality under the jurisdiction of Rembal police station of Udhampur. A case has been registered under appropriate sections of law and man hunt is on to nab the accused. The deceased has been identified as Ramta Begum, wife of Mohammad Guffar resident of Kishtwar presently at Udhampur According to police reports, a local youth allegedly poured acid and then murdered the victim with a sharp edged weapon (toka) inflicting critical injuries to her. "The locals shifted the critically injured lady to district hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, police sources said. Taking cognizance police in this regard has rounded up a local youths including one identified as Tousaf son of head constable Farooq Ahmed and is investigating the matter . SHO Rembal O P Chib when contacted said that police have registered FIR in this regard and have started investigation in this regard.
