Vigilance books the then Tehsildar for issuing fake certificate | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 23: The State Vigilance Organisation today registered a case against Jitender Mishra, then Tehsildar Banihal on the outcome of verification conducted into the allegations of concealment of facts and inclusion of fake RBA/OSC/ALC certificates by J&K Public Service Commission by most of the selected KAS candidates. According to official spokesperson, verification conducted revealed that one RBA certificate was issued in favour of Smt Indra Thakur d/o Hari Om Singh Thakur of Alambass, Banihal of District Ramban by the then Tehsildar Banihal Jitender Mishra in violation of the laid down provisions of J&K Reservation Act 2004. "On the basis of that certificate, the beneficiary Smt Indra Thakur got selected in KAS in the year 2001 under RBA category, spokesperson said and added, "the aforesaid acts of omissions and commission prima facie establishes offence punishable under section 5(2) J&K PC Act. "Accordingly case FIR NO. 16/2015 P/S Vigilance Organisation Jammu has been registered against the accused and investigation taken up, the official added. |
