Workshop on Teaching Skills concluded at GCOE 3/23/2015 11:10:35 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23 : A five day workshop on developing various skills required for result oriented teaching learning process as a part of curriculum under teacher education scheme of MHRD, Department of School Education and govt. college of Education, concluded today in the college. Prof. Dr. Desh Bandhu, Director, Colleges Development Council, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the staff and students of the college, he explained various skills in length which are required to make teaching more effective and meaningful. He shared with the audience number of real life success stories which can change the whole life and career of the students. He appreciated the various initiatives taken by the institution as a team to achieve the desired results in Teachers Education. The resource persons for the training program were the senior faculty members consisting of Prof. Raj Singh, Prof. C.L Shivgotra, Prof. Mohd. Zubair, Prof. Neelam Dhar, Prof. Sunita Devi, Prof. B.L Thakur, Prof. Rupinder Kour, Prof. Ashu Jolly, Prof. Rubina, Prof. Rajinder Kour and Prof. Baljinder Kour. Earlier the chief guest was welcomed by the college principal Prof.(Dr.) Ajeet Angral. In his address he said that that each and every aspect of Teaching Learning and extension activities will be given a professional look so that the pupil teachers can give their best in developing the human resources of the country. On arrival, chief guest planted a sapling in the college as a part of institutional plan to make institution clean and green. Two students namely Ms. Komal Kotwal and Ms. Neerja Sharma presented the report of these five days workshop as observers. The keynote address was given by Prof. Anju Bala, Academic coordinator. The program was compared by Prof. Piyali Arora while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Raj Singh. Prof. A.K Verma, Prof. Mohd. Zubair and Prof. B.L Thakur coordinated the event.
