Panic grips in Railway Colony, 'hoax caller' booked | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 23: Panic gripped in Trikuta Nagar and its vicinity over a hoax call when an unknown caller called the police about presence of suspected militants in the Railway East Colony and the search operation was launched which ended in futile. Following the call, police team immediately launched a search operation and later during investigation it turned out to be hoax call made by one Vijay Koul, husband of a railway employee. They said caller informed police that a group of three persons are seen in the premises of the Railway Recruitment Board. Sources said that the target area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched and the three persons as mentioned by the caller later turned out to be the employees of the railways. "The caller was allegedly intoxicated and gave a call, police sources said and a case was registered against hoax caller. A police officer when contacted said that the caller who was under the influence of liquor was booked under relevant section. |
