| MPE&J alleges leaders playing politics over farmers' suicide | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 4: Commenting on the recent spate of suicides being committed by the Kissans across the country, members of Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPE&J) Kuldeep Kumar Rao and Ram Singh Chauhan alleged the political parties are playing politics over the suicide of farmers. A statement issued here, they said the people of great and loud slogans raised by Narinder Modi before elections and that now in his tenure as Prime Minister more than 100 farmers have committed suicide. They asked that why nothing solid is being done so far? Why Rahul Gandhi is ignoring the fact that UPA ruled the country continuously for ten years and why the plight of farmers allowed subsist? They cautioned the people against emotive politics being played by the BJP and also Congress over AIIMS and said that no difference is being seen between previous governments for the last 67 years & the BJP now coming to power as BJP is also on the path of appeasing Kashmir centric politics. They appealed the central government to sanction another AIIMS for Jammu as has done in case of Central University so that the cheap politics being played over it does not succeed in widening the gap between Jammu & Kashmir, failing which it will be presumed that each Party is busy in befooling the masses to keep their political pot boiling and shop open. |
