Jammu, May 4: Owing to Bureaucratic Red-tapism, creation of new ration depot for around 500 families in remote village of Sunderbani has been lost into oblivion. The process for creation of the Depot was officially begun in month of April, when favrouing shifting of CAPD Ration store from Sunderbani to village Barnara, Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma wrote to the concerned Minister, but things remained un-changed till date. "The inhabitant of the said village are facing hardship because, the present CAPD ration store is 20 kms away from the said village", the MP wrote Minister for CAPD Ch Zulfkar Ali under letter number MPLAD/JK/14-15/350, dated April 10, 2015. However, the Minister also directed Director CAPD, ironically, after completion of required formalities, the ration store has not been shifted, said Mohan Lal Sharma, former Sarpanch of the area. He said that presently one has to travel 20 kms to get ration from existing CAPD ration store at Sunderbani, it costs more for the consumers. "Few days back I met Director CAPD, seeking early opening of fair price shop at village Nahoti/Barnara, but I was told by the director that it will take more time as it was time for Darbar move", Sharma said, adding that department is overlooking directions of Ministers. "Ravinder Raina, MLA Nowshera had already asked the authorities to shift the ration store but all in vain", he added. He alleged that under political pressure the shifting/ opening of ration store at village Barnara is being delayed. "Present govt has assured that the fair price ration shops will set-up after every 2kms. To serve the peoples in their respective areas, the lackadaisical approaches of implementing agencies is depriving people of the services being provided by the government", he added. |
