Vijaypur, May 4: Farmers of area have appealed PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Minister to pay visit to area and take stock of the desilting works. While criticizing, Rawi Tawi Irrigation authorities, farmers said that department has failed to desilt the canal. "On one hand government has been making promises with the farmers but on the other condition of irrigation canal and channels is deteriorating with each passing day", they said, adding that Vijaypur was at the tail end of canal, and due to no de-silting, canal water failed to reach there. |
