PTU accuses Govt for lackadaisical approach towards people of Ramban

Jammu, May 4 : Panther Trade Union accused the State Government for its callous and lackadaisical towards the people of District Ramban especially in Banihal Constituency till date.
Addressing media persons, State General Secretary Sewa Singh Bali alleged that the government has not provided an adequate supply of free Flour (Atta) to the poor people of Banihal Constituency for the last three months.
They are languishing in lurge and looking at the local administration for mercy. He also demanded road connectivity from Khari to Mahumangat, Ukhral to Alanbass, Senibati to Pogal-Panchal-Neel etc. as several general commuters including the local population of the area have been marooned from reaching their destinations. He further maintained that these areas are also deprived of electricity and other civic amenities.
He urged the Education Minister to open a Girl Higher Secondary School in Ukhral without further delay. He added that the GHSS in Ukhral has strength of almost 1200 students but to the irony the school is under staffed and deficient of teachers.
He said that the Central government has started that four lane National Highway from Nashri towards Banihal and the said are falling in District Ramban and the youth of the Ramban are wondering from pillar to post in search of job and the youth of the said district may be given priority for engagement upto 90% in the companies in whose favour the construction of four lane has been entrusted by the Government i.e. IFCON, IRCON, JP and HCC etc as the youths of the said hilly district are well versed with the area, so that they may get the justice so that they may fed themselves and their family members at this crucial juncture. He leveled allegations that the unemployed job card holders are waiting for hundred days work under MGNREGA and their cards become the diet for termite with full of dust because of non-use of the cards for the last 2013 up to till date. He appeal the government that all the job card holders should be employed as soon as possible under MGNREGA so that they may earn for the livelihood of their families.
