6th class student among two commit suicide, another makes abortive life bid | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 26: Minors have a 'bad day' as a student of 6th standard allegedly ended his life after her mother scolded him by jumping into river Chenab in Akhnoor while youth of Class XII committed suicide by jumping into the river Tawi after he failed in examination. Meanwhile, a 16 year-old allegedly tried to hang himself in his residence at Nowshera of Rajouri district. Police sources said that a 12 class student (CBSE) identified as namely Abhishek (17) son of Varinder of Satwari left the house on Monday to check his result but did not returned. "His body was recovered today from Beli Charana after some passersby noticed the body floating in the canal, police sources said. In another similar incident the police recovered body of a 6th class student from River Chinab at Pargwal area. "The deceased has been identified as Arun Sharma of Akhnoor, police sources said, adding, "mother of the deceased allegedly scolded him owing which he might be took such an extreme step." Yet in another incident, a 16 year-old allegedly tried to hang himself at his residence in Nowshera of Rajouri district . Police have identified the teen as Lalit Kumar son of Shiv Vardhan of Nowshera. Police sources said that family members of Lalit took him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu where he was undergoing treatment when last reports came in. Police further said that all the cases have been registered at concerned Police Stations. |
