PYC, NSUI demand to revoke 2 yrs B.Ed, M.Ed courses in JU | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Accusing the mentality of Coalition government for introducing discriminant policies in educational system in Jammu and Kashmir, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) and the National Student's Union of India (NSUI) staged protest demonstration against administration of JU. Protestors slammed the vice chancellor for introducing two years B.Ed programme in Jammu University, while Kashmir University have decided that the programme of B.Ed course and M.Ed will remain unchanged. They raised the question that how two universities of same chancellor of a state will adopt different policies regarding the same course. Government is triggering the system towards chaos as at present B.Ed programme is of one year in both the universities. It will remain same in Kashmir University but changes in Jammu University. They also said that eligible condition for B.Ed, M.Ed programme in Kashmir University is 45% merit in graduation but unfortunately it is 50% for Jammu. They also claimed that not only this but in assignments marks given to B.Ed students from Jammu are very less as compared to Kashmir students. They warned to immediate revoke the two year B.Ed, M.Edprogramme in Jammu or face the agitation of Youths in Jammu region. The protest was led by Dr Uma Shankar Pandey Incharge J&K, Pranav Shagotra PYC President, Neeraj Kundan President NSUI, Rajveer Singh Gen Secy PYC, Satish Sharma , Pankaj Basotra LYC presidents Jammu Poonch, Udhampur and Doda, Abhijot Singh state Gen Secy NSUI and others were present during protest. |
