KISHTWAR, June 25: Encounter specialist SI Shiv Kumar Sharma alias Sonu is again in the dock. A woman has alleged that she had intimate relations with him and both lived as husband and wife. She also alleged that she was now feeling threatened from him.
Rajni Devi, daughter of Sham Lal of Hidyal, Kishtwar, alleged that he had even applied sindoor on her head and gave her the status of second wife.
As per the details available with "Early Times", the victim filed a complaint against Sonu of Thatri, Doda, in Kishtwar court alleging that he raped her on gun point and when she tried to approach police in 2012, he first threaten her and later in order to put an end to the controversy, he applied sindoor on her head.
After giving her 2nd wife status for about 5 to 6 months, he backtracked from his commitment and allegedly threatens her to eliminate in case she disclosed anything to police or others. The issue comes to forefront after he was arrested by the police in the much publicized fake encounter case on June 4, 2013 as it encouraged the victim to approach police. She filed a complaint of alleged rape and sexual harassment against him before Kishtwar police and also in Kishtwar court.
While talking to "Early Times", Rajni alleged that Kishtwar police is trying to hush up the investigation and she is being threaten again and again by the accused and his associates. She alleged that in the month of December 2014, on the direction of accused cop, vehicle bearing registration No 2627 tried to crush her, but luckily she survived.
She alleged that the influential cop uses all its tactics and resources to harass her including by way of putting political pressure on her to withdraw the case against him from Kishtwar court. She alleged that even middle men held several meeting with her and assured her justice beside acknowledgement to her married relationship, but all turn their faces at the time when the accused cop fails to fulfill his promise made with her in presence of some mediators.
She alleged that on 30-05-2015, Sonu at around 9 PM came to her residence and again threatens her to withdraw the case. She said that after she refused to withdraw the case, he left her house in anger.
She said that in case anything wrong happened to her, the accused cop should be held responsible. She said that she even approach SSP Doda and SP Kishtwar for justice and fair probe and alleged that Kishtwar police produced wrong statement in the court attributing to her after police took signatures of Sonu's close aides on such statement written in Urdu language.
She said that she will continue to fight the case till she gets justice. |
