Chief Minister's office has no presence of staff from Jammu, Ladakh region | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 25: Chief Minister's Office in the Civil Secretariat which is the highest office in the hierarchy of seat of governance has little or no presence of officials from Jammu and Ladakh region, a fact which makes mockery of the government claims that all the three regions of state would be treated alike and would get equal share at all forums. Sources within the Secretariat said in the CMO headed by the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the hierarchy of officers and employees down the line comprise mostly those from Kashmir Valley. In the Personal Section of CM, the officers from Special Secretary to Additional Secretary and in clerical line from Stenographers to junior Assistants all are from Kashmir Valley. Similarly, the second highest powerful in CMO BB Vyas who is the Principal Secretary to CM too has huge staff in his personal section , who barring one of his PA, are all from Kashmir Valley. Apart from the Personal Section staff, the CMO has an 'army' of officers including Special Secretaries, Private Secretaries, Under Secretaries , all of the rank of KAS , all except just one special secretary, are from Kashmir. Surprisingly, there is not even a single officer or lower level staff member from Ladakh region, sources said which bursts the balloon hollow claims of not only present government, but that of erstwhile NC- Congress regime, the ministers of which would tire themselves of treating all the three regions on same pedestal . Sources said one of the negative implications of this imbalance in representation of staff in the CMO is inaccessibility people often face there. Even the employees working within the Secretariat from Jammu region for one or the other problems do not get easy access to Chief Minister's office, sources said that despite BJP being ally in the government, even people from this party face difficulty in getting access to the office where there is no officer from Jammu. But BJP as the alliance partner is not at all bothered by little or no presence of staff from Jammu in the highest office. |
