US based oncologist conducts presentation show, awareness lecture for girls at KV-1 6/25/2015 11:42:21 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 25 : A lecture-cum- presentation show was arranged in the auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No-1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu to create awareness among the girl students of senior classes on the subject of breast cancer. The programme was conducted by Dr Meekoo Dhar, a United States based Oncologist alongwith Dr Bhavna Raina, Associate Professor, ASSCOMS, Sidhra, Jammu. The girls were made aware of the symptoms and identification clues about the dreaded disease. They were also made aware about self examination and screening methods to make them able to detect the symptoms at the early stage of the disease. The lecture-cum-presentation show was received well by the students. The students also clarified their doubts and their solutions. Princy Bhat, Coordinated the programme and the other teachers who attended the programme included S R Raina, Anupama Sharma and Ritu Sharma.Adressing the Students in the programme, Principal T R Choudhary showed his concern about such problems and said that the awareness can help the girl students to understand the problem and the students are the best means of conveying awareness messages as only the students can help spread awareness among the masses.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
