The draft of the transfer policy was uploaded on the official website of Education department www.jkeducation.gov.in. The government has invited comments and suggestions from all the stakeholders and the suggestions, as per the government order, can be mailed [email protected]. The draft policy mentions that a married female teacher can go for the inter-district transfer provided they have served five years of service in their respective districts/divisions. "However, this would be subject to the availability of vacancies of department's requirements," reads the draft. It adds that to the extent possible, married lady officials with young children would be posted such that they can return to their home after duty. "Subject to the availability of the post the official with the specially-abled children would be posted at a place to his/her place of residence." Education Minister Naeem Akhtar Andrabi had earlier stated that the new transfer policy is in the offing and it would teacher-friendly. The new draft policy, it is learnt, will be implemented only after the stakeholders give suggestions to the Education department. |
