Jammu, June 26: Dogra Labour Union (DLU) staged protest demonstration against the BJP-PDP government for giving step motherly treatment with the labour class of the state especially Jammu region.
Speaking on the occasion, Kuldeep Chalotra said that, the union has highlighted issues so many times for the establishment of a labour colony within the Municipal Limit, but NC- Congress did nothing in this regard and unfortunately now BJP-PDP Govt. also is giving step motherly treatment with this labour class of the Jammu division. He alleged that hundreds of labourers of this state with permanent resident certificate (PRC) are forced to live in slum, open, foothpaths, Juggies and others and live as slaves. After so many years of Independence these labours are forced to live in a deteriorated condition.
"On other hand, acres of Govt. land illegally occupied by the influential persons with the help of some bureaucrats and Govt. watching it as a mute spectator, "he further alleged and adding hundreds of times before, ther Union raised these issues with Govt. but Govt. did nothing up to this date time. |
