JKNPP, PTU, YP demand CBI probe into cold blooded murder | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP), Panther Trade Union (PTU) and Young Panthers (YP) held protest against terror unleashed by the police and the government against the peace loving people and innocent citizens. Addressing the protestors, Anita Thakur, General Secretary JKNPP demanded CBI probe into the brutal killing of a Taxi driver, Tarseem Bhagat in broad day light. She said that Tarseem was never produced before any Magistrate in 24 hours along with other two persons. A questioned the police intention to drag them from Akhnoor (and taken to Gandhi Nagar), kept in custody for the night and next day in the afternoon they were brought to Domana where Tarseem was shot dead on the second day of his illegal arrest. On the occasion, Jagdev Singh, Coordination Secretary, Sewa Singh Bali, State General Secretary PTU, Bansi Lal Sharma Adv. Political advisor JKNPP, Vilakshan Singh Adv. State General Secretary Young Panthers urged NN Vohra for intervention to dismiss BJP rule to save the state from bloodshed and chaos. The said, Prof. Bhim Singh has raised several questions about the real intention of the police and asked about the real purpose behind killing a Dalit Taxi Driver. The Panthers advocate Vilakshan Singh personally visited Domana, Akhnoor police station to ask for FIR which was refused to him. They also demanded CBI enquiry also into the murder of S. Jagjeet Singh who was killed couple of weeks back under Satwari police station. The party leaders declared that protest will be held in all districts against the threats to the civilians and killing of innocent persons by the state police. Among others who were present in the protest demonstration included Shanker Singh Chib, Ravinder Jamwal, Anil Rakwal, Naveen Bali, Raj Kumar, Vinod Singh, Baldev, Bera Ram and others. |
