Marital deceit: Court directs Police to lodge FIR against doctor, his family | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 26: Responding to the petition from a woman alleging cheating by her medico husband and his family, a local court has directed SHO Women Cell Gandhi Nagar to register FIR under sections 498 and 120-B of RPC against the accused medico and his family. Duty Magistrate (Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax) ordered SHO women Cell Gandhi Nagar to register FIR under sections 498 and 120-B of RPC against a Doctor and his family. As per the case the petitioner namely Sanghita Ankush Gupta wife of Dr Ankush Gupta submitted to the court that her marriage with Dr Ankush is legally and was solemnized in Pune under Special Marriage Act on 23/2/2015 after the duo consented to marry having got acquaintance on a social networking site (facebook) and later got serious about their relation between them. The complainant also has submitted to the court that the Ankush was pursuing his Post Graduation (MD) at Srimati Lashibai Navale Medical College and Hospital, Pune and decided to stay together after they legally got wedded in Pune. In her petition, the petitioner has stated that all was smooth till her in-laws namely parents of her husband Reva Gupta and Dhani Ram Gupta, Payal Gupta sister of Ankush and one Vivek Gupta started harassing her and demanding Rs 1 crore as dowry. Besides this the complainant also has accused her in laws of thrashing her and turning her out of their home at midnight on May 17. After hearing the counselor for petitioner the Duty Magistrate on June 24, ordered SHO women Cell Gandhi Nagar to register FIR under section 498 and 120- B against Dr Aknush Gupta his father Dhani Ram, his mother Reva Gupta, Payal Gupta and Vivek Gupta. |
