| HC directs BOPEE to keep vacant one seat in Professional Courses for RBA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice B S Walia today disposed of the petition seeking directions to consider his candidature under Resident of Backward Area (RBA) category in the admission process to various professional courses and directed Chairman BOPEE to consider the plea of the petitioner meanwhile one seat in RBA Category be kept vacant.
The decision came in light when the petition filed by one Ankush Singh Mankotia seeking direction to J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE)/ respondents to consider his candidature under Resident of Backward Area (RBA) category in the admission process initiated by the respondents vide Notification no. 02-BOPEE of 2015 for admission to various Professional Courses (MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BUMS/ Physiotherapy/ Diploma Dental Hygine/B.E.).
In the petitioner has been submitted that being a member of socially and educationally backward class falling under Resident of Backward Area category filled his application form in pursuance of Admission Notification 02-BOPEE of 2015 dated:- 16/02/.2015 . The petitioner also submitted a copy of his Reserved category certificate issued to him by Tehsildar Ramnagar vide no. 881-82/BCG Dated:- 03/03/2010 to the respondents. But the respondents without any reasonable cause have placed the petitioner under Open Merit category. (JNF) |
