NCB Jammu holds anti-drug awareness rally 6/26/2015 11:37:47 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 26 : Narcotics Control Bureau Jammu today organized an awareness rally to mark "International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking". The day is celebrated worldwide to raise public awareness against the menace of drugs. The Government authorities of the entire world also use this occasion to acquaint the public with the steps taken by Governments against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances. Around 300 personnel of various law enforcement and other agencies directly or indirectly related with the drug related crimes including J&K Police, BSF, J&K Society for promotion of Youth and Masses (JKSPYM), Sports Office, J&K Tae-Kwando Association Jammu and NGOs participated in the rally. Manoj Kumar, Zonal Director, NCB Zonal Unit Jammu shared his experience with the participants and emphasized the need for launching a decisive drive to end the drug abuse from the society. He further stressed that lot of work is still required to be done by the Law Enforcement Agencies towards 'demand reduction'.
