Court summons Hatric Bakery for selling 'stale bread' | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, June 27: Taking cognizance over the petition over sale of adulterated bread, the court of Municipal Magistrate Srinagar today summoned proprietor of a famous Hatric Bakery for allegedly selling stale bread in Jawaharnagar Srinagar. The Municipal Magistrate, Khursheed-ul-Islam after hearing both sides summoned the proprietor of the bakery M/s Hatric Bakery. The court observed the statement of the complainant and witness, the accused prima facie appears to have committed offence under provisions of Food Safety & Standards Act also under the provisions of Municipal Corporation Act and thus summoned the accused to appear before the court on next hearing July 16. The petitioner Tabish Bhat In his complaint has submitted that at the time of iftar (breaking of fast), he approached Hatric bakery counter Jawaharnagar in order to bring bread for his family on June 25. "On opening of bread, he found it full of fungus and of sub standard quality, petitioner said stated. |
