Cong directionless in J&K: Some Valley based party leaders openly toeing Hurriyat line | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 29: There is total chaos and confusion in the Pradesh Congress because different leaders are speaking in different language on the sensitive and controversial issues. Some leaders are exploiting the present "free for all" situation in the party and they indulged into toeing the line of separatists and anti-national forces. Earlier it was general secretary of the Pradesh Congress Shahnawaz Choudhary, who followed line on Kashmir centric anti-national and radical groups to oppose anti-encroachment drive launched by Forest Minister, this time it is Feroz Khan national secretary of National Student Union of India (NSUI)-student wing of Congress, who came in support of Kashmir University student who was arrested in connection with his terror link. One student of Kashmir University was arrested last week after his links with terrorists were allegedly established through his phone calls but some anti-national groups came in support of the students with lame excuse that his phone by mis-used by some elements. Links with terrorists is very serious charge but NSUI national secretary immediately jumped into the support of the arrested student. Not only Feroz Khan, most of the leaders of Kashmir unit of NSUI came out in support of students arrested on the charges of terror links. It is really strange that one the one hand, Congress leadership is attacking BJP for its failure to check waving of ISIS and Pakistani flags in Kashmir Valley while on the other hand party's student wing in Kashmir Valley is supporting pro-terror elements. Not only student wing, even party's other Valley based leaders availing all opportunities to toe separatists lines to keep anti-national forces in good humour. Credible sources in the Congress said that party has not clear stand on prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley. Instead of going into the dangerous ramification of supporting anti-national forces, Congress leadership's only agenda is to criticize the state government on any available opportunity. |
