JAMMU, June 29 : Secretary Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), North Zone Committee, New Delhi, Ram Khajuria today inaugurated an exclusive Sport Climbing coaching camp for girls at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, here.
The 11-day camp has been sponsored by Tawi Trekkers J&K in order to promote the game among girls and also to strengthen the J&K state women team.
"A few zonal and national medalists and talented male climbers have also been included in the camp. The coaching shall be imparted by Anil Kumar, a sport climbing coach who shall be assisted by national women climbers," informed general secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Shawetica Khajuria.
Those climbers who excel during these camps shall also be deputed for further coaching at international standard climbing walls at IMF, New Delhi, the national body for adventure sports in the country, she added.
