Murky Cooperative running employment scam; authorities in slumber 6/30/2015 11:48:28 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 30: A cooperative society under the name and style of Rural Development Multipurpose Cooperative Ltd having its headquarter at Marh is allegedly running an employment scam duping innocent unemployed youths. According to reports the said Cooperative Society has ventured into the banking sector without taking prior permission from the Reserve Bank of India as required under norms and has opened nearly forty-one branches across five districts of estate of Jammu and Kashmirr. The districts to which it has spread its network of branches include Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi. Sources said that it has recruited nearly 400 youth of banking sector. Ostensibly, the employer does not conduct any exam or character verification for those recruited and bank employees following which few criminals too succeeded in obtaining job. One such person was dismissed as he was having an FIR registered against him in Bishnah. Another complaint has been made with the police by a female aspirant who said that despite paying hefty amount she is not being regularized. Sources further alleged that is violation of all norms there is only one signing authority for the bank as it doesn't have Board of Directors (BoDs). Sources said that as per norms a BoDs interview candidates for selection to any employment for any of the ventured business of the society but here only one person is performing this process. Few of the candidates have alleged that they have paid money for the employment in the bank being run illegally by the society. Sources said that youth are recruited ninety days of service they are forced to pay under the table and are assured to be regularized. Youth are recruited at different levels like DGM, BM, Area Managers, and Executive etc. Moreover, this society doesn't deposit Provident Fund of the employees which is another violation. A complaint was also made to the Registrar Cooperative Societies for its illegal banking venture and was asked by the authorities to file a reply but still it is carrying on with is agenda.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
