JAMMU, June 30: So adamant and powerful this police Inspector is that he does not want to compromise with his choice of the police station which he wants to head as its SHO.
He was SHO of a peripheral police station and transferred from there to CID wing of police on the basis of complaints against him. But before completing his two-year tenure there, he recently got himself transferred to Jammu zone and then to Jammu district, using his political connections.
An offer was said to have been made to him by a senior police officer to head a city police station but he refused, saying he wants to serve some peripheral police station, according to police sources.
Sources said only RS Pura police station was left to be filled because it was presently headed by an IPS officer who would be completing his probation period soon. After his completes his probation, this Inspector was likely to be posted as SHO of R S Pura police station.
He was said to have also taken the consent of a local politician in this regard, sources informed.
This Inspector has remained controversial for varied reasons but he was always saved by his "political masters", sources said. |
