Jammu, July 3: District Congress Committee (DDC) Jammu Urban held its meeting today under the chairmanship of Senior Vice President Sukh Dev Singh Choudhary at party head office at Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu to take stock of the progress of ongoing membership drive of the party in the urban areas of Jammu District. Expressing satisfaction over the pace of party's membership drive, Sukh Dev Choudhary said Congress is a strong unifying force which represents each and every section of the pluralistic society and that's why all the right thinking people are posing their faith over the policies and programmes of Congress and so far thousands of new members have been enrolled in the party in Jammu City only. He exhorted the functionaries of the DCC Jammu (Urban) to put their all out efforts to enroll more and more people in the Congress party, especially the youth, women and people of weaker sections of the society.Congress leaders during the occasion criticized one year BJP government led by Modi said , "BJP government has totally failed on every front." They also criticized state coalition government,, especially the BJP and its ministers for their utter failure to safe guard the interests of people of Jammu.
