Katra: CAPD releases ration for selective depots | | | Shiv Dev Thakur
Early Times Report
KATRA, July 3: Officials of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department Katra are releasing ration for selective depots, ignoring the dealers who have deposited the requisite amount. Locals of village Kundarorian rued that the CAPD department is so callous that it cannot ensure regular ration supply as the people are still waiting for the ration of June. They said the delay in supplying ration has become a routine now and many deputations have met with the officials but to no avail. The people said that on inquiring from the office of CAPD, they were shocked to learn that ration was not released for the particular area even after requisite amount was deposited by the dealer. The dealer said, "I have deposited the requisite amount against the quota of atta being issued for the ration card holders. But even after more than a week the department has still not released the ration." Storekeeper Pawan Kumar blamed the CAPD for sending inadequate supply of atta to the area. CAPD's Assistant Director, Reasi, said there is no shortage of ration. "Strong action will be taken against the officials for not releasing the ration in time," he added. |
