| PDP workers raise demands | | |
Vijaypur, July 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers today raised their demands in the monthly review meeting held under the chairmanship of Harmesh Singh Slathia. The workers from all zones of Vijaypur constituency assembled at Vijaypur and apprised Slathia about un-scheduled power cut and scarcity of drinking in Kandi area, the farmers whose land fall within the Ravi -Tawi canal also lodge their grievances that due to the blockage in the canal, the canal water could not reach to their field and they are facing acute shortage of irrigation water. The PDP workers also lodged their grievances that about nine months have been elapsed but till date the construction of band on the bank of Devak River was not started. The PDP workers also accused the local MLA who is holding the Ministerial berth in state cabinet was enjoying the luxurious life in Srinagar but not did anything for the construction of band on the bank of Devak River. |
