JTC demands permanent rehabilitation of KP Migrants | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 28: Castigating the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) coalition government, the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K today said that the present dispensation has failed in mitigating the sufferings of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community. Addressing JTC and SKF workers' meeting held here today, its president Shadi Lal Pandita demanded permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community in three satellite townships to be raised near Srinagar city for peaceful and dignified living of the Kashmiri Pandit Community, with grant of compensation worth Rs 2 lakh per year for the last 26 years of migration on account of losses suffered to the properties of the migrants in Kashmir valley. Pandita further said that for the past some time the militancy in Kashmir valley is on rise which has created sense of insecurity amongst the migrant employees appointed under Prime Minister's Employment Package. He demanded that all these migrant employees be transferred to Jammu for the time being for their attachment or adjustment at Jammu in various government departments. During the course of meeting, which was attended by the office bearers and members of the both the organizations including the inmates of Jagti Camp, various persons from Jagti Camp joined the JTC. |
