Recalling tainted health official shocking: DAK | | | Early Timse Report Srinagar, Aug 22: Expressing shock over posting of Dr Saleem ur Rehman as Project Director of State AIDS Control Society who was removed from his position on corruption charges, Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today said that government's tall claims of weeding out corruption have fallen flat by this blatant example of calling back 'tainted' health official. President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement said that government's tall claims of weeding out corruption have fallen flat by calling back tainted health official. "The present dispensation's promise of sacking corrupt officials and replacing them by honest ones has turned to be hoax by recalling corrupt health official, he said. Dr Saleem ur Rehman is involved in Drug Kits scam and the case is registered in police station vigilance organization Kashmir, he said and added that Dr Rehman had turned health sector into an industry of corruption, favoritism and nepotism. "Such tainted officials are a blot to the medical profession and have brought disgrace and disrepute to the whole medical fraternity, speakers said. "Despite public is up in arms against such black moles and are demanding their ouster but government is indifferent and seems to be in no mood to remove them, they added They also alleged that Government is not serious in reviving premier health institutions of Government Medical College(GMC) Srinagar and Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences(SKIMS) Soura otherwise it would have removed Principal GMC and Director SKIMS who are responsible for deteriorating condition of these institutions. |
