Thief held with stolen 100 Qtls of iron bars 8/23/2015 12:32:45 AM Jammu, Aug 22 : Sidhra police today arrested a thief and recovered 100 quintal of stolen iron bars which he was carrying to sell to a scrap dealer while another associate of Hussain identified as Arif has been picked up by the police for questioning. Police have identified the accused namely as Hussain Mohammad of Ragura. "On specific information, a police party led by in-charge police post Sidhar SI Noor Mohammad under the supervision of SDPO Bharat Bushan Sharma raised a naka at Sidra and intercepted Hussain Mohammad while driving in a Tempo bearing regd no JK02BC-3406." Police said that they have recovered 100 Qtls iron bars (saria) which were stolen from different government departments undertaking different construction projects. "Police have seized both iron bars and vehicle sized in crime and arrested the accused on the spot, police said, adding, "while another associate of Hussain identified as Arif has been picked up by the police."
