Poswal welcomes HC ban on sale of beef in JK 9/10/2015 10:02:07 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 10: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader and national executive member ST Morcha Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal on Thursdaywelcomed the ban on sale of beef in Jammu and Kashmir. Poswal urged the state government to implement the ban in letter and spirit at the earliest. "It is indeed a good verdict by the top court of state. The state government should forcefully implement the court's decision so that slaughtering of domestic animals is stopped forthwith," said Poswal in a statement issued here. The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday imposed a ban on sale of beef in the state. "A few months before, I took a rally of tribal people accompanying groom Nandi Maharaj from Jammu and Kashmir to Gawaoon Nandi Vivah in Pushkar Rajasthan appealing people to refrain from slaughtering the domestic animals like cow.
