Ramban, Sept 10: Jammu Police today recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused from Batote area of Ramban district. "Acting on a complaint lodged last night, regarding kidnapping of a minor girl from Bhagwati Nagar area, a police team raided various hideouts," police said. They said, on specific inputs, a team was dispatched on the highway and the accused was intercepted during wee hours near Batote in Ramban district and the kidnapped girl was recovered. The accused, identified as Arjun Kumar, resident of Katra, at present Bhagwati Nagar, was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered and investigation started.The police said the victim was reunited with the family after medical examination. |
