Jammu, Sept 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages has reportedly awakened to grant subsidy to the budding writers of Jammu province, following a report carried by Early Times on August 19 titled Budding writers of Jammu feel disappointed from JKAACL. After lapse of a year no word from Academy on their submitted works." The budding writers had submitted their works in the month of July 2014, to avail the benefit of subsidy scheme, which was given for printing purposes but there was no word from academy after lapse of one year. Secretary of JKAACL, Aziz Hajni had attributed the delay to September 2014 floods, but had assured that shortly subsidy would be granted. After the publication of news item, the JKAACL finally granted subsidy benefits to budding writers of both the regions. The budding writers have thanked Early Times for raising the issue. |
