| MGNREGA employees demand regularization, release of pending salaries | | | Early Times Report
DODA, Oct 1: Demanding regularization of their services and release of pending salaries, the MGNREGA Employees Association Doda urged the government to chalk out a policy in this regard.
The Association also appealed to fulfill other demands of MGNREGA employees including implementation of SRO 255, compensatory allowance in their favour.
"We are working without salaries for last five months; we are suffering a lot without salaries. Our salaries must be released as soon as possible," the employees said.
"We have given our golden period of life to this scheme by performing our duties with full dedication but what we got? We got only frustration and step motherly treatment from the department," they added.
The government has hiked only 25 % salary, which is not enough keeping in view of present economic scenario as the prices in the market are too high and they can't manage even three time food with this salary for their family and how they can full fill the other needs of life, the employees further said. |
