| YAC holds protest against shortage of staff in SDH Bhaderwah | | |  Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Oct 1: Up in arms against shortage of doctors and para-medical staff in Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah and deletion of names of ration card holders in new CAPD lists, the Youth Action Committee (YAC) Bhaderwah held a strong protest demonstration here today at Seri Bazaar.
Protesting youth raised slogans against the Health Department, PHE and CAPD and demanded immediate deployment of the doctors as well as para-medical staff in Bhaderwah hospital and inclusion of names of deleted ration card holders in new lists. They also brunt the effigy of Director Health, Jammu for failure to post doctors at SDH Bhaderwah. Due to non-availability of required staff, people are facing many hardships and sometimes even patients die due to lack of proper care, they said and threatened stir over the issue, the protesters added. They also demanded stern action against the erring PHE officials, who are responsible for supply of contaminated water.
They alleged a number of people, particularly kids, had fallen ill because of consumption of this contaminated water. The protest demonstration was led by YAC president Naseer Mehboob Padder. |
