AKMRH demands election at Jagti Migrant Colony, threatens protest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 1 : All Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders (AKMRH) held a meeting at Jagti Township today. The meeting was presided by Sunil Raina and discussed that there will be protest against state and centre government for non serious for Ward / Panchayat election of Jagti Migrant colony. As per press release, Raina said that thousands of people are hapless while conveying their demands and requirements to the government and multiple pseudo and self styled leaders with the help of Govt. are taking advantage of non representation of migrants projecting themselves as the pseudo and self styled leaders of colony. He further appealed that the government should hold election of Jagti Migrant colony, so that genuine representatives can be elected and there will be proper communication with the Govt. and Kashmiri Migrant representatives and problems are addressed. On the occasion Sunil Pandita reiterated his demand of conducting Ward / Panchayat type elections in all the Migrant Camps. He said the conducting of these elections was notified by the Relief authorities vide NO.RRCM/PA/11/550 dated 23.11.2011. It was decided in the meeting that ward / panchayat election be held if there will no announcement there will be protest against Govt. on16.10.2015 because Govt. is not interested in election of Jagti town Govt. is befooling the migrants like previous Govt. befooled the Migrants in their regime. |
