In all 52 resolutions on different issues from 35 members were received out of which 8 have been accepted for consideration. Sources said the resolutions on Article 35 A were submitted by NC MLA Devinder Singh Rana and independent MLA Engineer Abdul Rashid separately albeit on similar lines seeking protection of the Article. In his resolution Engineer Rashid from Langate constituency in Kashmir Valley had strongly vouched for it and asked the government that this vital article of the constitution be defended and protected NC's Devinder Rana through this resolution stated that the state government shall take all legal, political and administrative steps to ensure that Article 35 A as enshrined in the constitution upholding the unique status of permanent residents of the state and special status of state of J&K is not compromised in the context and form that it exists as of today .
