Jammu, Oct 7: Army Public School Domana was abuzz with the activities as the enthusiastic students celebrated "Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan" from october1 to7, 2015.
According to press release, under the campaign, future generation of the country was made aware of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. They were also encouraged to participate in 'Cleanliness Campaign' in the school and surrounding areas.
During this week, a number of competitions related to Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan were organized in the school premises and the prominent among them were Poster Making, Best out of Waste, Slogan Writing, Poem Recitation besides Special Morning Assembly and Swachhtta Awareness Run/Walk followed by Shramdan in the respective classrooms, labs, library and surrounding areas of the school. All activities were assessed and prizes were given to the deserving students.
On the concluding day of the campaign, Poonam Bisht, Chairperson FWO Chenab Brigade was the distinguished chief guest. In her speech, the chief guest urged upon the students to inculcate the spirit of hygiene, cleanliness and avert themselves from unhygienic conditions.
