JKJEWA to hold lock out strike on Oct 26, 27 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Judicial Employees Welfare Association (JKJEWA) was held in Jammu and Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Aijaz Ahmed Wafaie and M R Parihar respectively in which all the District heads of Kashmir and Jammu province participated. On the occasion long pending demands of the ministerial staff of subordinate judiciary were discussed in length which include non-implementation of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations, creation of staff to the newly created Districts of the state, unnecessarily delay in the promotions, inadequate staff in the courts, regularization of the adhoc employees, delay in the appointment of the Welfare Officer of Welfare Fund. Members present in the meetings expressed serious concern that despite clear directions from the Supreme Court, the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission have not been implemented so far and the non implementation of the agreement entered in between the then Chief Justice Justice Radha Krishnan and the then Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. The High Court and the State Government were approached time and again and the employees were only given assurances and till date no concrete step has been taken to mitigate the sufferings of the employees. It was unanimously resolved in both the meetings that entire ministerial staff of subordinate courts throughout the state shall observe two days lock out strike on 26th and 27th of October 2015 against callous attitude of the state Government. |
