DC Doda surrenders Rs 9 Cr SDRF relief assistance

Kishtwar, Oct 7: BJP MLA from Doda Shakti Raj Parihar has alleged that the Deputy Commissioner Doda has surrendered Rs. 9 crore SDRF relief assistance meant for distribution among the people who suffered losses in floods and heavy rains in the year 2014 and 2015.
The MLA further accused him of failure to disbursed remaining one crore relief among the affected families.
In a supplementary to his A.Q No. 367 MLA Doda, he stated that the government of Jammu and Kashmir kept Rs. 10 crore at the disposal of DC Doda for distribution among the affected families as like other parts of the state, District Doda also suffered huge losses due to rains and other natural calamities added that instead of providing the relief to the people, DC Doda preferred to surrender Rs. 9 cr He said that out of remaining 1 crore, DC Doda utilized only Rs. 50 lacs while remaining 50 lacs is yet to be disbursed and sought a detail from the Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation regarding the issue of surrendering of Rs. 9 crore and delay in disbursement of relief among the affected families.
While reacting to the MLA's concern, Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari assured MLA Doda that he will seek details from DC Doda on this and will inform him accordingly on this issue.
