Tension creators to be dealt with strictness: DIG

Rajouri Oct. 7: Appealing people to maintain communal harmony, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Rajouri Poonch range, A.K. Atri today said that the persons creating nuisance and tension affecting law and order, will be taken to task and handled sternly and no one will be allowed to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Rajouri.
In a press statement, DIG Rajouri Poonch range, AK Atri said that people from all the communities are equal in the eyes of law and any attempt of anti-social elements will be foiled whosoever resorts to disturb the law and order and communal harmony in Rajouri.
He said that in the recent incident of Panja Chowk, police has already arrested two person while hunt for nabbing others wanted in the case is vigorously going on and they are likely to be arrested soon.
DIG added that several meetings were held with both the communities in last few days and all have been assured that no one is above law and none will be allowed to breach law and in case of any untoward incident, the law will take its own course without any hitch or hindrance.
