Udhampur, Oct 7: In continuation to the encroachment eviction drive initiated by the Forest Department, the field staff of Ramnagar Forest Division in joint operation with Forest Protection Force officials of Gamma unit, J-5, Udhampur, have successfully retrieved 130 kanals and 3 marlas of encroached forest land in North Range of the Division. The team removed the fencing put up by the 18 encroachers. Moreover, a plinth- works in stone masonry along with cattle shed was also demolished during the operation. The drive was carried out jointly by team constituted by Divisional Forest Officer, Ramnagar, Vivek Modi , Range Officer, North Range, Kamal Singh, and Inspector Operations, FPF , Gamma Unit, Udhampur, Sudesh Verma and Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force, Shahzad Chowdhary under the supervision of the Conservator of Forests, East Circle, Jammu and Joint Director , Forest Protection Force, Jammu. The field operation in this regard was executed in Manial Chak near village Panjgarain.
