Kishtwar, Oct 7: Market checking team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) conducted extensive market checking at Galhar, Padyarna, Sohal, and Padder areas of district Kishtwar and realized fine of Rs. 4300 from erring traders. The team fined 12 traders violating different provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act/Rules. Department has directed all the traders to use only verified stamped weights and measures instrument for transactions and ensure that all the package commodities sold to the consumers must bear the MRP, packing date, net contents and consumer care number. |
